Just wanted to know how many out there are at all interested in upgrading to BBM 2K10?
One feature that will save everyone time is the export/import of team files (basically, you set your roster the way you want and export your team file and then upload it to the board. Terry then downloads the files and with the click of one button, imports all team files at once!)
My other league - which started in 2k8, upgraded to 2k9, is about to move to 2k10
Just wanted to put it out there.

I actually raised this subject to Terry via PM last night.
It will make it easier to find new owners as well. It will be a lot easier to upgrade now rather than wait till a couple more versions come out. Then it will be like going from 2k4 to 2k8 which was extremely hard to do.
I would be all for playing next season in 2k8, but having a test file on the side where we could be working on the conversion to 2k10.

im not too smart about the pros and cons of switching versions via BBM...but i think were four teams short...with cards, O's, Mets, and Rangers. Thats a lot and i might be missing another team. New version equals a lot better chance at getting new owners.

Scott posted an add on the Sports Mogul boards, it usually gets us some attention and new owners.
The problem isn't finding new owners; it's finding serious owners. 2k4, 2k8, 2k9, 3k 9000, I don't think it matters. We're on a bad streak of owners that come in, create an account and disappear into the fog soon after.

But we would have a higher chance at getting owners and the more we get the better chance we have of finding good ones.
That is way I look at it.
Plus, by switching now, we avoid the disaster we ran into with 2k4 to 2k8 where the games were not even compatable with each other because they were so far apart.
I believe it would be incredibly easy to make the switch now. This is not going to be anything like our previous switch as far as workload is concerned. These games are almost identical now with a few added things here and there. I have worked quite a bit with 2k9.

I've basically been using 2k9 for all of my own tests and negotiations, there is no major difference, however 2k10 does have 1 major difference in the bias against power pitchers (especially starters) in all previous versions. in 2k10, power pitchers have much better stats than they have had in previous versions - and it seems as if offense generally goes down if you switch from 2k8 or 2k9 to 2k10.

Are you sure the file would need to be rolled over to 2k9 before 2k10? I've loaded several of our league files into 2k10 and haven't noticed anything different in the predicted/peak stats
I think this would also solve the farm grades problem
