Talent will beget talent. Lower it or raise it. It doesn't matter because all will be the same so it should cancel everyone out. If hitters are better so will pitching. I would think it would even itself out?
The main reason why some talent is so high and some is not because of the unbalanced farm systems. If farm is balance everyone will be the same on develpment.
I have run some sims and seen how much better some of my players would be on a team with a farm system that is rated higher than mine. Even vets or players already in their peak seem to peak even higher.
I really wonder how a Craig Reynolds or a Jim Sundberg would have done with a better rated Farm?

^^^ i dont want to see it common that teams have 3 plus .350 hitters on their team. this will happen as it stands with the new rule changes.

^^^ i dont want to see it common that teams have 3 plus .350 hitters on their team. this will happen as it stands with the new rule changes. This may not happen anyway. During the couse of 1976 there were many teams with A- or better farm systems and only 5 players better than a .330 AVG in the entire league. At least all farm systems will have the same opportunity to develop the talented players that they drafted. Also, one has to wonder, if other teams are producing better players won't the improved play of all involved even that out?

The thing we wish to avoid is reaching a point where even bench players will be stars and where pitchers, below a given predicted ERA, will systematically get destroyed.
Such leagues have reached that point before.

Isn't that something we could deal with when the time comes or at least next offseason? The draft has aready occurred this year (at least partially).
I believe changing the talent will only affect players coming out of the draft. Not ones currently on our teams. I could be wrong, but it seems like we could worry about this during the course of the season and make a change for next year's draft.
I know I am pushing really hard to get this season going. The reason being, these leagues only have a certain lifetime. Every day lost could be part of a season we are never going to get too now. That is just my take on things.
I think we have the solution to our farm problem for sure, and I also think we have the solution to the revenue issue. We don't even need to mess around with the $25M player on each team this way. We also don't need to mess around with the # of offers or player asking prices this way.
As for Boffer's idea of still spending medical getting us to the -5% level, it probably would work (I have not tested that), but wouldn't we potentially have the same problems with medical grades then? If we are trying to eliminate this part of the game because of bugs, lets just eliminate all of it.

I will gladly swap to one of the teams that has a shit minor league. These teams can win....it takes "managing" them differently.
I run a print shop. Nothing is ever truly the same between competitors. You cannot create a perfect system. This game does not allow it. Take it for what it is....we have a very excellent league. do not fix something not broken.
Lets package up all this edit BS and simply play the game. \My opinion.
Again, I will gladly swap teams with any of the GM's who cannot get mogul to show them the love.
Nobody has said this....players who are advanced to the majors early are accelerated in this game. Minors....I have never used them. I play my guys.....
Point is this....you WILL never create a balanced league. EVER! Want to make it better econimically. Make us pay full price for players. Stop giving financial rewards that cheapen cash. Disallow buy downs. make money mean something....and watch what happens.
play Mogul the mogul way.....
this league rocks. This isssue is minor compared to some league's maladies.
Terry, whatever you decide works......

You cannot create a perfect system. This game does not allow it. Take it for what it is....we have a very excellent league. do not fix something not broken. Agreed, but this is still something that probably needs to be fixed to make people feel like they are being treated fair. After this, there cannot be any excuses. Nobody has said this....players who are advanced to the majors early are accelerated in this game. Minors....I have never used them. I play my guys..... That is absolutely not true in all circumstances. I have had a few players like this, but not the majority, and I test every player out almost every year in different spots. Point is this....you WILL never create a balanced league. EVER! Want to make it better econimically. Make us pay full price for players. Stop giving financial rewards that cheapen cash. Disallow buy downs. make money mean something....and watch what happens. Pay full price for players = Yeah, but that would require even more testing. Putting revenue at -10% gets rid of the money in a different way since we are 8% below the target spot. Stop Financial Awards = I agree 100% Disallow buy downs = whatever. It has no effect with them or without them as I wrote in a reply earlier

I have had a few players like this, but not the majority, and I test every player out almost every year in different spots. This is true in most circumstances. toss em in and let em go.I have done this repeatedly....not testing this. I draft and play. Boog, santo. campy, Blair...etc. That being said...you cannot expect low level qulaity players to perform.Point is this....you WILL never create a balanced league. EVER! Want to make it better econimically. Make us pay full price for players. Stop giving financial rewards that cheapen cash. Disallow buy downs. make money mean something....and watch what happens. Making all cities even (balanced) also can warp data??....we have so many variables we have adjusted....Stop Financial Awards = I agree 100% Disallow buy downs = whatever. It has no effect with them or without them as I wrote in a reply earlier adjusted data is adjusted data.....we are editing tables and interfaces..... I do not think you can cart blanc state whatever.....it may be way more than that. for what its worth.....I am still 100% ready to take one of the dog teams and see if I can whip them to win. anyone wanna trade teams?

Still looking closely at my tests, but I'm about done. Chances of holding Opening Day sim this Monday are good.
