The 5th Annual All-Planet Team: 1986
What is it?:
A collection of the greatest players at each position in TMBL for the year of 1986.
-This is a 30 man roster designed to make the greatest team possible based on 1986 statistics.
-It is based on 1986 only- not on career achievements or potential of players
-At every position except for DH, there is a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 3.
-There are at least 6 starting pitchers and 4 relievers and no more than 12 pitchers.
-The “Just Missed” players are the players who almost made the team at each position.
-The “Up Next” players are players who were 25 or under in the 1986 season and will potentially be on future teams. Once a player has made the “Up Next” portion they can’t be in that section again.
-The number of times each player has been selected is in parentheses.
There are no 5 time selections- But there are a few 4 time selections to the team: (Leon Durham, Ryne Sandberg, and Tim Wallach)
