I thought we voted to switch to the 2K6 version?
I wouldn't mind either staying with 2K4 or switching to 2K5
I am not a huge fan of 2K7

That must be in one of your other leagues. ;D Actually there was a vote if we would consider moving to version 2K6, with 15-2 in favour!

I thought we voted to switch to the 2K6 version? Actually there was a vote if we would consider moving to version 2K6, with 15-2 in favour! Yep, with the operant word being consider, as you pointed out in your post to that thread. I voted yes only to consider moving, I'm really not sold on it though. The thread ended up turning into more of a 2k7 discussion, with side conversations about other versions, other leagues, and even other games. And Chad, who just asked about this again, wondering: Why not 2005 version? I don't like the 2007 version? What's wrong with the 2004 version? Why all the changes? By the time we were done, I didn't get the feeling that many owners really wanted to change versions, which would entail: - A re-start or - Having the same player names, but with very different career paths and predictions or - Importing the same players with their 2k4 careers, but having the 2k6 engine dramatically re-rate (or retire) them, which it's certain to do at least twice. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Having experienced a switch in MLC, I got to see how just switching versions completely changes the dynamics of all players. Not only are they re-rated, but some mediocre players under 2k4 turned into superstards under 2k6 while a lot of stars under 2k4 wound up useless under 2k6.
