haha. Not surprising. They always go on forever. Clay really needs to hire a coder to take care of all his problems.

I tried the file on .29 and it had almost no difference. What does make a big difference is lowering those ticket prices from last season. Have you worked at that, Scott? Seems we could go lower than +90 if the ticket prices are set right, but I have to check that as well.

I have varied the ticket price around a bit. I have not looked at that in great detail, but I have done a few sims and did not notice any better way to set the revenue. If you set the ticket prices down where they were in 2k4, I am getting a substanstial decrease in revenue. However, I did win 120 games, which makes me wonder if having more fans in the stands increases your win total in 2k8. Let me know what you find.

Sorry, the past couple of days have been hectic but I'm doing the testing now and I think people are going to be surprised.
The league wide revenue hit comes when comparing 1970 to 1969 even staying in the 2k4 engine.
Revenues are down an average of over 12M per team from 1969 to 1970 in 2k4. So, while revenue in 2k8 is lower than in 2k4 (so far), the difference looks a lot bigger comparing a 1970 2k8 run to 1969 earnings in 2k4 since they were going down no matter which version we used.
I also noticed that revenue last season was at an all time high for TMBL, probably due to the expansion, so what we're seeing here is most likely the BBM engine trying to get things back in line.
More later.

BTW: For testing, I normalized both files; all team ticket prices were reset to pre-playoff prices and all teams over 80M cash were set to 80M with the overage going into points.
